Aircraft Dispatcher

The Aircraft Dispatcher at Etihad Airways plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient turnaround of flights. This position involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including ground operations, crew, and government departments, to manage all aspects of flight departures and arrivals.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the turnaround process of Etihad Airways flights, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
• Brief all involved parties, including gate staff, crew, and ramp personnel, on flight details, schedules, and any potential changes.
• Lead Etihad and third-party teams during flight departures, addressing any issues or delays, and keeping all departments informed.
• Ensure accurate load planning for various aircraft types, including the preparation and verification of the Loading Instruction Report (LIR) and final Load Sheet.
• Identify and mitigate safety risks around the aircraft, ensuring adherence to company safety protocols.
• Allocate delay codes, analyze off-schedule departures, and report on trends for continuous service improvement.
• Provide detailed and professional reports on turnaround events, including accountability for any operational delays.

Requirements:

• Secondary school education, preferably with qualifications in Math or Science.
• Minimum of 5 years in load control/dispatch roles at a major international airport.
• At least 1 year in operations (GSA, Crew, NOC) with a thorough understanding of ground operations.
• Successful completion of Etihad Airways weight and balance licensing course (desirable).
• Strong leadership and safety management skills.
• Training in Dangerous Goods, aircraft weight and balance, and passenger handling.
• Computer literacy and fluency in English.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
