Job Overview
The Freight & Logistics Assistant at Flowtronix LLC plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods within and outside the company. Responsible for coordinating shipments, the role involves working closely with freight forwarders, carriers, and internal teams to facilitate timely deliveries while optimizing costs.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor the shipment and delivery of goods to customers or other designated locations.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and couriers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to shipments, including invoices, packing lists, and shipping manifests.
- Track shipments and communicate updates to internal stakeholders and customers as necessary.
- Resolve issues related to transportation and logistics, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies in shipments.
- Assist in negotiating freight rates and terms with carriers to optimize logistics costs.
- Maintain inventory of shipping and packaging supplies and reorder as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field in the UAE or equivalent from their home country.
- Freshers in the UAE are also welcome to apply.
- Must be willing to work in Abu Dhabi.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize workload effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
