As a Senior Accountant at Alfahim, you will oversee essential accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax activities. You will handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial tasks, such as reconciliations and audits, and provide financial performance reports to management.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
- Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation, and analysis.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting/finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting theory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
