At MY BUSINESS CONSULTING DMCC, we are a fast-growing business consultancy firm, and we are seeking to expand our team with the addition of an Accountant. If you have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of financial principles, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- It is essential to guarantee the accurate and punctual processing of invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Reconciling bank statements, accounts and financial transactions is also part of the role.
- Provide assistance with the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Process payroll in accordance with relevant tax and labour legislation.
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate records of all financial transactions and the provision of proper documentation for audits.
- Provide financial analysis and support for strategic decision-making processes.
- Provide assistance with the filing of Value Added Tax (VAT), the preparation of tax returns and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Provide assistance with month-end and year-end closing processes and financial audits.
When necessary, collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and local tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Familiarity with UAE tax regulations, including VAT, is highly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
- A professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is an advantage but not mandatory.
